Start an AI agent from a prompt template library

How to use Omnifox's curated system prompt template library to set up an AI agent (sales, support, FAQ, receptionist, and more) without writing the prompt from scratch.

Jul 11, 2026

Instead of writing an AI agent's system prompt from scratch, you can start from a template curated by Omnifox — it already comes with tone, section structure, rules for when to use each tool, and variables ready for your workspace.

Requirements

  • An AI agent already created (new or existing) — the template is applied on top of its system prompt.
  • Permission to edit AI agents in your workspace.

Steps

  1. Go to AI Agents and open (or create) the agent you want to configure.
  2. On the Prompt tab, click "Use template".
  3. In the "Instruction templates" modal, filter by category or search by keyword.
  4. Pick a card from the list: the right panel shows a preview of the full prompt, with tabs to view the content in Spanish, English, or Portuguese.
  5. Click "Use this template". If the agent already had content, the system asks you to confirm before replacing it (this action can't be undone).
  6. Adjust the text to your brand and save your changes.

Available categories

Sales, Support, FAQ, Receptionist, Lead qualification, Collections, Satisfaction survey (CSAT), and Inbound voice — plus a general "Other" category.

Each template also lists the recommended tools for that use case (for example, the Receptionist template suggests enabling "Update contact fields" and "Assign to person or team").

Example

You're setting up your first support bot and aren't sure where to start. You open the modal, filter by the Support category, see the "FAQ Bot" card with its description ("answers common questions from the knowledge base and hands off to the team when there's no answer"), apply the template, and only need to update your workspace's name and enable the suggested tools.

Tips

  • The modal automatically filters templates by agent type (text or voice) — if your agent is a voice agent, you'll only see voice templates.
  • Applying a template replaces the ENTIRE current prompt; if you just want inspiration, copy fragments manually instead of applying it directly.
  • After applying a template, turn on the tools it recommends under the Custom actions tab — applying the text doesn't enable them automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • "I don't see any templates": this may be a temporary connection issue — close and reopen the modal; if it persists, contact support.
  • "The template doesn't show up in my language": if a template has no version loaded in your language, the system automatically falls back to the Spanish version.
