Connect Viber (Public Account)

Connect your Viber Public Account bot to Omnifox with a single auth token.

Jul 11, 2026

Viber is popular across Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Connecting your Public Account bot to Omnifox is one of the simplest setups: you only need one auth token, and Omnifox registers the webhook for you automatically.

Requirements

  • A Public Account created at partners.viber.com
  • That account's Auth Token
  • The "Manage channels" permission in Omnifox

Steps to connect

  1. Log in to partners.viber.com and copy your Public Account's Auth Token.
  2. In Omnifox, go to Channels → Connect New Channel and pick Viber.
  3. Paste the Auth Token, and optionally set a Sender Name (the name your contacts see on outbound messages).
  4. Save: Omnifox registers the webhook against Viber's API automatically — there's no URL to paste on partners.viber.com.
  5. Run the connection test from the same wizard to confirm the token is valid.

Configuration

  • Auth Token: the only required credential; identifies and authenticates your Public Account.
  • Sender Name: displayed as the sender name (defaults to "Omnifox").
  • Webhook URL: auto-registered on save — nothing to copy/paste manually.

Example

A customer in Ukraine messages you on Viber asking about their order status. The message lands directly in the Omnifox Inbox as a regular conversation, with no extra setup on your side.

Tips

  • If you regenerate the Auth Token on partners.viber.com, update it in Omnifox too, or the channel stops receiving messages.
  • The Sender Name is purely cosmetic — it doesn't affect authentication.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection test fails: verify you copied the full token, with no stray spaces before or after it.
  • Channel saved but no messages arrive: check on partners.viber.com that the account is active and not suspended.
