Company account details and custom fields (industry, size, website, owner)

Every company linked to your contacts keeps its own account record — industry, size, website, owner, and custom fields — shared across all its contacts.

In Omnifox, a Company groups together every contact that belongs to the same business account (say, everyone who writes in from "Acme Corp"). The company keeps its own data record, separate from each individual contact, and that data is automatically shared across every contact linked to it.

Standard company fields

  • Name
  • Domain (e.g. acmecorp.com)
  • Industry
  • Size (employee range)
  • Phone
  • Website
  • Address
  • Owner — the team member responsible for the account
  • Custom fields — just like on Contacts, you can add your own (e.g. "Tax ID", "Plan")

Where it shows up

Opening a linked contact's 360 profile shows a Company section with the account's name and its custom fields. Because the data lives on the company, not on the contact, updating it once is enough to reflect it across every contact tied to that account.

How it's filled in

Company data is set when the account is created (via import, an integration, or the API) and updated the same way — you never repeat it contact by contact. To add a field of your own (say "Plan"), go to Settings → Custom fields and create one for the Company entity type.

Example

You link Ana and Luis, both from "Acme Corp," to the same company. You set Industry = "Retail," Size = "51-200," and Owner = the rep in charge of the account. Opening either Ana's or Luis's profile shows the exact same account data.

Tips

  • Use Industry and Size to segment reports by customer type.
  • Always set an Owner — Reports uses it to filter deals by rep.

Troubleshooting

If a contact shows no company at all, it simply hasn't been linked to any account yet — link it during import, or ask an admin to associate it.
