Logging meetings and emails as activities

Save meetings, calls, and emails that happened outside the chat straight onto a contact's or deal's record, so the whole history lives in one place.

Jul 11, 2026

Activities are timeline entries you use to log interactions that didn't happen inside an Inbox conversation — an in-person meeting, an outside phone call, an email you sent from your own mail client, or just an internal note. They're attached to a contact or to a deal, alongside messages and conversations, so the 360 profile shows the complete history.

Requirements

  • Access to the CRM module (Pipeline) or to a contact's 360 profile
  • A role with Contacts/CRM permission on the workspace

Steps

  1. Open the contact's 360 profile (or open a Deal from the Pipeline).
  2. In the activity panel, click Log activity.
  3. Pick the type: Note, Call, Meeting, Email, or Task.
  4. Fill in the Summary (required) and, optionally, the Details.
  5. For Task, you can optionally set a due date and time.
  6. Click Add — the entry lands on the timeline, sorted alongside messages.

Fields

Field Purpose
Type Note / Call / Meeting / Email / Task
Summary Short, required title
Details Optional free text (what was discussed, next steps)
Due date Task only

Example

You had a Zoom call with a customer that never went through WhatsApp or Webchat. Open their 360 profile, pick Meeting, type "Escala plan demo" as the summary, and note the agreed next steps in Details. Any teammate who opens that contact later sees the meeting in the same chronological order as the chat messages.

Tips

  • Also use it to record an email you sent outside Omnifox, so the history doesn't have gaps.
  • Task-type activities show up on the CRM's Tasks view with their due date.

Troubleshooting

If you don't see the Log activity button, confirm your role has CRM/Pipeline access on that workspace — the 360 profile and its activities are part of the CRM module.
