Change your login email
Update the email address you use to sign in to Omnifox from your Profile.
What it is
You can update the email address you use to sign in to Omnifox without losing your history or access to the organizations you belong to. It's a sensitive action, so the system asks you to re-confirm your current password before applying the change.
Requirements
- Know your current password.
- The new email must not already be in use by another Omnifox account.
Steps
- Go to your Profile.
- Find the email / security section.
- Type the new email address into the field.
- Type your current password to confirm the change.
- Click Save.
Configuration
- The change takes effect immediately — no verification link is sent to confirm the new address first.
- The next time you sign in, you'll need to use the new email.
- The system checks that the new email isn't already used by another Omnifox account.
Example
You switched corporate email providers and now use [email protected] instead of [email protected]. Go to Profile, type the new email, confirm with your current password, and save — from then on you sign in with the new address.
Tips
- Double-check the new email before saving, since the change applies right away.
- If you rely on two-factor recovery by email, make sure you have access to the new inbox before switching.
Troubleshooting
- "Another account already uses that email": that address is already registered on Omnifox under a different account — use a different one, or contact support if you believe this is a mistake.
- "The current password is incorrect": make sure you're typing your current password, not an old one; if you've forgotten it, use the password recovery option before changing your email.
