Connect Mercado Libre for marketplace messages

Link your Mercado Libre seller account so buyer questions and post-sale messages land in the Omnifox Inbox.

Jul 11, 2026

Mercado Libre runs a messaging API tied to each buyer question or post-sale order conversation. Connecting this channel brings those messages into your Omnifox Inbox alongside every other conversation, so your team never has to log into the marketplace itself to reply.

Requirements

  • An active Mercado Libre seller account
  • The "Manage channels" permission on your organization
  • The Mercado Libre integration enabled at the platform level (your Omnifox admin has already loaded the app credentials)

Steps to connect

  1. Go to Channels in the main menu and click Connect New Channel.
  2. Pick Mercado Libre in the type-selection step.
  3. Click Connect with Mercado Libre — you're redirected to auth.mercadolibre.com.
  4. Log in with your seller account and authorize access.
  5. Mercado Libre sends you back to Omnifox; the channel is created automatically, named after your seller nickname.

Configuration

There are no manual fields — the whole handshake runs through OAuth. If you see "Mercado Libre isn't configured yet," ask your admin to load the app's client ID/secret first.

Example

A buyer asks "do you have size 9?" on a live listing, or messages the seller inside a paid order. That message shows up as a new conversation in the Inbox, and an agent replies exactly like they would on WhatsApp or Webchat.

Tips

  • Conversations are always tied to a question or an order — you can't cold-message a buyer who hasn't written first.
  • Running several seller accounts (by country or brand)? Connect each one as its own channel.

Troubleshooting

  • "The OAuth session expired": the authorization link is valid for 30 minutes — just click Connect again.
  • No new messages arriving: double-check the authorized account is the one that actually receives the questions on Mercado Libre.
