Topping up your WhatsApp (Meta) balance and understanding conversation charges

How to fund the prepaid balance Omnifox uses to pay Meta for your WhatsApp conversations, and what drives each charge.

Jul 11, 2026

Omnifox acts as your WhatsApp Business provider (BSP), and Meta bills for every 24-hour conversation you open with a contact. That cost is deducted from a prepaid balance on your account, separate from your plan and your AI credit.

Requirements

  • At least one connected WhatsApp channel (Embedded Signup).
  • The "Manage billing" permission on your role.

How to top up

  1. Go to Settings → Billing → Balances tab.
  2. On the WhatsApp Meta Balance card, click Top up.
  3. Enter an amount (there's a minimum top-up).
  4. Choose a payment method: card (Stripe), PayPal, or bank transfer.
  5. Confirm. A payment order is created; once paid, your balance updates instantly (or within 24–48h for bank transfers).

Auto-recharge

Turn on auto-recharge and set a threshold and an amount: whenever the balance drops below the threshold, Omnifox charges your saved card the configured amount automatically — no action needed from you.

Example

Your team sends weekly WhatsApp marketing campaigns. You set auto-recharge with a $10 threshold and a $50 amount. Whenever the balance falls under $10, it tops up with $50 automatically and sending never stops.

How each conversation is charged

Each billed conversation depends on its category (marketing, utility, service, or authentication) and the contact's country, at rates set by Meta. You can review every debit in the transaction history on the same tab.

Troubleshooting

  • If outbound WhatsApp messages stop sending, check the WhatsApp Meta Balance first: at $0, outbound sending is blocked until you top up.
  • If you paid by bank transfer and don't see the balance yet, wait for the validation window or contact support with your proof of payment.
